How do I make an SVRS call to a Spanish (Español) speaking person?

If you have Spanish-speaking friends, family, or business contacts you can use Sorenson VRS Español. You can place Sorenson VRS calls to hearing people who speak Spanish anywhere in the United States or its territories, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Making a Sorenson VRS Español call is as easy as making any other SVRS call. You use the VP-200's remote control to make selections and to enter phone numbers on your television screen as usual. When the interpreter appears, just explain that you want to make an SVRS Español call. You will then be connected to an interpreter who speaks Spanish. The interpreter will sign your conversation in ASL, not in Spanish Sign Language.

Follow these steps to make an SVRS call to a Spanish-speaking person:

Step 1 of 4
Using the VP-200's remote control, enter the phone number of the Spanish-speaking hearing person you want to call in the Dial field.

Step 2 of 4
Use the arrow keys on your remote to highlight the SVRS icon if it is not already highlighted.

Then, push the remote's Enter key to dial the call.

Step 3 of 4
When your call is answered by the first available SVRS interpreter, just sign Spanish" to request a Spanish-speaking interpreter.

Step 4 of 4
You will then be transferred to the next available SVRS interpreter who speaks Spanish. When that interpreter appears, she or he will then place your call for you.
