How do I set up my SignMail account?
The Sorenson VRS (SVRS) SignMail service allows hearing callers to leave an ASL video message for you when you cannot answer your videophone.Remember to tell your hearing contacts to ask the Sorenson VRS interpreter to record a SignMail message when you cannot be reached. The interpreter will then record the hearing person's message as an ASL video. You will receive an e-mail to alert you to the SignMail message. To see your message, you just click on a Web link in the e-mail.
Setting up your SignMail account is easy. You just have to enter your personal e-mail address. You can even have e-mails sent to your pager address or to your Instant Messaging account (AOL or MSN).
Follow these steps to set up your SignMail account:
Step 1 of 4
At the Home page, select the Settings icon.
Step 2 of 4
The screen display has changed to show the Settings options page. Select the Personal icon.
Note: The screen shown above does not include the normal video image. This was done to make it easier to see the icon(s) that appear in the image area.
Step 3 of 4
The screen display has changed again to show the Personal options page. Select the SignMail icon.
Step 4 of 4
This is the SignMail Alerts page. You must put a check in the top field to allow SVRS interpreters to send you SignMail messages. You must also enter your personal e-mail address. Do not enter a pager address in this field.
There are also three extra contact options. You can specify your pager e-mail address, your AOL screen name, or your MSN Messenger e-mail address.
When you are ready to accept the entries on the page, select the OK button. You will then return to the Personal options page.
Remember to come back and edit this page if any of your contact information changes in the future.
