I see a message saying EnVision SL could not register with the directory service.

This problem can occur if another EnVision SL user has already connected to the Sorenson server using the same e-mail address that you are using. To avoid this problem, you must make sure that your personal information and the directory server address entered in Envision SL are correct.

To prevent this error message from appearing, do the following steps:
  1. Click on the Settings button in the main Envision SL window.
  2. In the Settings dialog, select the Directory tab.
  3. Select "" in the "Address" drop-down list.
  4. Uncheck the checkbox named: "Connect to directory server when Envision starts."
  5. Uncheck the checkbox named: "Don't list my name in the directory. People can call me if they know my e-mail address."
  6. Uncheck the checkbox named: "Automatically refresh Directory and Speed Dial."
  7. Click the OK button.
  8. Restart EnVision SL and then try connecting again.
