Sorenson VP-100 Videophone

The Sorenson VP-100 is a small videophone appliance that sits on top of a TV and enables two-way video conferencing via a high speed (i.e. DSL, cable, or T1 line) Internet connection. The VP-100 videophone does not require a computer or any additional software. However, the Sorenson VP-100 videophone does require a 256K connection in order to transfer the video images over the Internet.

Deaf individuals simply hit the "Dial VRS" button and then type in the number of the hearing individual they wish to reach. There is no need for the deaf individual to sign the phone number again to the interpreter because the videophone automatically passes this information to the interpreter.
