Position: VRS Interpreting Center Director
Locations:- Kansas City, Kansas
Requirements:
- Provide sign to voice and voice to sign interpretation for deaf and hearing video relay callers
- Provide in-house interpreter services for staff meetings, as needed
- Train new VRS interpreters upon hire; mentor current interpreters
- Hold staff meetings on a regular basis to ensure effective communication in the office
- Work with customers, focus groups, and outreach managers in the area in order to report on service and product improvements to VRS

Position: Area Specialist - Northern California
Sorenson Communications is looking for a full-time Area Specialist to provide support for the current customer base in the region and manage the trainer team throughout several counties in Northern California. Applicants must have working knowledge of basic computer functions, as well as experience with videophone protocol and routers. Previous experience as a Sorenson VRS Trainer a plus. Applicants must have excellent presentation skills and must be fluent in technologies related to installing IP-based videophones. Applicant should be comfortable presenting to large groups of individuals of all ages. Additionally, applicants should be able to train and motivate local trainers and/or support staff. Please note that this is a home-based, full-time position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Senior Outreach Manager.
- Works with Marketing and Events teams to conduct seminars and training sessions with deaf constituents at deaf schools, institutions, events, etc, explaining how to use various Sorenson Communications products and services.
- Manage a team of approximately 15 trainers throughout Northern California.
- Manage the process of recruiting customers, installing and training users on how to use a videophone, answering consumer questions, and managing technical support requests.

Sorenson Video Relay Service (VRS) is seeking professional installers to assist deaf and hard-of-hearing customers with installing the Sorenson VP-100 videophone and/or Sorenson EnVision SL video relay software. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting networking issues and training customers on how to place a video relay call.Qualifications:

Position: Tele-Education Representative
Sorenson Communications is hiring a Tele-Education group for outbound Feature Training calls through the VP-200 to teach customers on Sorenson technology, features and services. This group will be located in Salt Lake City and will assist in improving customer understanding of Sorenson and competitive services so the customer can make an informed decision regarding selecting a default VRS provider and 911 services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contact deaf customers through the Sorenson VP-200.
- Representatives will have conversations on videophone following a script that will cover the value in 911 services, SVRS Features, and why a customer should select SVRS as their default VRS company.
- At the end of each call the Representative will complete reports on each call to summarize the results.
- Tele-Educations Representatives will also update address information for 911 services and conduct surveys.
- Prefer fluent in ASL
- Excellent presentation ability in a one-on-one session, communicate clearly and be able to answer questions and handle objections
- Be able to help people make informed decisions regarding their default VRS provider and 911 services
- Be able to follow a script but also be able to adapt a conversation to objections, questions and interruptions

The role of the Events Materials Coordinator is to execute assigned projects including event inventory management, the receipt and delivery of materials, the ordering of shipping materials, and other event-related projects.Responsibilities:

Position: Test Engineering Manager
Manage the testing of Sorenson Communications products as assigned (could include distributed software systems, devices, and firmware). Supervise Test/QA members of a development team to ensure quality testing of products being developed. - Plan, research, write, and publish documentation and other training materials for both internal audiences and the end-users of Sorenson's products.
